The band may be new, however, each member has previously toured Ireland, Europe and the US.

Petey Doran (bodhran and vocals) and Stephen McNulty (singer /songwriter) are lifelong friends who hail from Camlough, while Terry Conlon (piano accordion /vocals) and Joanna Doran (classical violinist, soloist, keyboard) both hail from Cullyhanna. Joanna is academically trained in classical music and now resides in Camlough.

Paddy Martin, a gifted uilleann piper, bagpiper, flute (Irish and concert) and whistle player has now joined the band in September as a fifth member.

He also previously worked with the band while they were recording their debut album, providing music accompaniment during recording.

Raglan describe their music as a fusion of folk and classical providing a different angle on traditional Irish folk music by giving it a touch of classical, primarily through the classical playing skills of Joanna mixed with the instrumentals and vocals of the other band members which affords very soft listening and great entertainment.

Whilst their debut album gives a flavour of the Trad /Folk genre they also play the wider range of traditional, classical and folk music as well as expert storytelling provided by Terry Conlon.

Raglan are currently delighting audiences with their unique sound, inspiring vocals and spontaneous harmonies across the broad spectrum of Irish Folk and Traditional music and have had a very successful launch of their first album.
