THE legendary group The Wolfe Tones are set to celebrate their 60th anniversary with a special concert in Letterkenny next summer.
Details have been announced today of Letterkenny Summer Sessions, a brand new series of concerts in a Big Top Marquee at Kiltoy during August 2024, which will have an audience capacity of up to 4,500.
The Wolfe Tones will be special guests at Letterkenny Summer Sessions on Saturday, August 17, a gig not to be missed as the group is set to retire in 2024.
The concert comes after the band set record attendance numbers at Electric Picnic in September, and recently sold out two nights at Dublin’s 3Arena.
Tickets for the farewell concert are €47.90 plus booking fee and will go on sale on Friday, December 1 at 10am from Tickets.ie.
From humble beginnings in Dublin, to the hallowed halls of Carnegie Hall, New York and the Paris Olympia, The Wolfe Tones have enthralled generations of Irish music fans around the globe in their own unique style.
In a career spanning from 1964 to 2024, the group reached the summit and that’s where they have remained ever since.
The concert will feature the songs and ballads that helped to create legends in their own lifetimes, from Celtic Symphony to Grace, Let The People Sing to The Streets of New York.
The Summer Sessions will see Irish and International artists take to the stage with a variety for different genres and audiences.
