New speed limit in place during four lane road works

GARDAI are reminding motorists of the reduced speed limit on the N56 as safety upgrading on the four lanes is underway.
Most of the work between the Polestar Roundabout and the Dry Arch is being carried out at night time in a bid to keep traffic disruption to a minimum.
The speed limit for the duration of the works is 50kph between the Polestar Roundabout and the Dry Arch.
A garda spokesperson said: “This is something we all need to be mindful of. We appeal to all motorists to drive with due care and to remain alert for any signage on that route in relation to temporary lane changes/lane narrowing.
“Drive slowly for your own safety and that of the road works staff.
Works are due to finalised by October 2022.
