Finn Harps debutant Sean Patton scored the only goal of the game as the Harps beat Kerry in Finn Park.
After a number of chances which failed to find the net, a super move involving Patrick Ferry and Gavin McAteer saw the former find Sean Patton and the 17-year old on loan from Derry fired the ball through the legs of Aaron O’Sullivan.

The Harps looked likely to increase their lead with Drumkeen man Patton and 16-year-old McAteer making his first start both having massive chances, but they failed to add a second.
However, the defence held firm and they kept a clean sheet to move up to fourth place.
