THE Minister of State for Disability, Equality, Mental Health and Older People, Ms Kathleen Lynch TD officially opened the new Department of Psychiatry Admissions Unit on the grounds of Letterkenny General Hospital on Monday.
The Department of Psychiatry Admissions Unit, which is part of Donegal Mental Health Services, has 34 beds offering inpatient care to service users over 18 years of age, along with mother and baby accommodation and facilities which are specifically designed to accommodate people over 65 with particular mental health needs.
