SEOIRSE Ó Dochartaigh has been appointed as the new Principal of Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair.
A native of Ardara, Seoirse has spent nineteen years as a staff member teaching Geography. He will succeed the current principal, Seamus Ó Briain, who has spent over seventeen years teaching in Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair, a dozen of whom as Deputy Principal and seven years as Principal.
The announcement was made earlier today by the Board of Management of the Community School.
Seoirse will take up his principalship duties after St Patrick’s Day.
“We all sincerely congratulate Seoirse as he tackles his new responsibilities and challenges ahead with energy and enthusiasm.We wish him every success in his new role,” the Board of Management said.
