An entrepreneurial Gweedore man has been turning the heads of the locals with his Alpacas, Llamas and Racoons. Five years after launching their hugely successful holy water dispensers, Connie and Fionnuala Gallagher have formally opened the family friendly Errigal View Pet Farm at the beautiful An Chúirt Hotel.

From Sleeghan, Derrybeg, Mr & Mrs Gallagher saw an opening for an attraction for children and adults alike and the venture has been a huge success to date. “Errigal View Pet Farm is a brand new attraction for all the family to enjoy a great day out,” Connie explained. “With animals, birds and much, much more, there is plenty to see and do. You can stroll amongst the animals or take a nice leisurely walk along the old railway track, the choice is yours.”

Both educational and fun, you can see many unusual animals up close and even feed a few of them. Then, as children play in the adventure playground, adults can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and a snack or try their hand on the pitch and putt course.

Situated behind An Chúirt Hotel, a visit is a must, according to two recent visitors. “I was there recently with my four-year-old daughter and she just loved it,” said one mother. “She almost took the emu for a walk after it followed us up the hill. I also loved the indoor games area, which is ideal for the unpredictable Donegal weather. There are also loads of scenic walks. I would recommend it to anyone.”
