New garden is dedicated to the memories of former workers at Tata

A NEW memorial garden, dedicated to members of staff who have passed away during their time of employment at the Tata Consultancy Services Global Delivery Centre campus in Letterkenny has been unveiled.

The beautiful new garden features 11 rose bushes which have been planted in memory of the eleven employees who died.

It was officially opened on Wednesday when over 200 staff also took part in their annual charity walk.

The walk is part of the Wellbeing at Work initiative at TCS, and was also used as a fundraiser for the Irish Cancer Society and the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.

Staff members gathered in the Spring sunshine to take part in the ‘Dander around the Campus’ and they raised over €1,600 in cash donations and online.

The newly landscaped memorial garden was officially opened on the day by Andrea McBride, Head of Letterkenny GDC, and Brian Kelly, Head of CSR, Letterkenny.

The garden is a place for quiet reflection and all the staff are encouraged to visit the garden and use the area for peace and reflection.
