Eleven trainee Gardaí began phase one of their training in the Donegal Garda Division this week.

A Garda spokesperson said: “We extend a warm welcome to them and we wish them the very best in their career with An Garda Síochána. The latest Garda recruitment competition opened yesterday and it will run until 3pm on February 8.
“The age limit to apply to become a Garda trainee has increased from 35 years to 50 years from this competition onwards. For a more rewarding tomorrow, apply to join An Garda Síochána today at www.publicjobs.ie.”
