New €10k swim shelter at Gola Island pier

DONEGAL TD, Pat the Cope Gallagher, has announced that a grant of €10,350 has been approved for the construction of a swim shelter at Gola Island pier.

The funding, allocated through the Clar Measure 3 programme, aims to enhance community facilities on offshore islands.

The new shelter will serve multiple purposes, providing a space for swimmers, ferry passengers, and those walking the Shlí Ghabhla, part of the Bhealach na Gaeltachta and Slí an Atlantaigh Fhiáin routes.

The project will be carried out by Donegal County Council.
