BISHOP Alan McGuckian has announced a number of clergy appointments in the Raphoe Diocese to take effect from the end of August.
Three parishes are to get new Parish Priests.
Fr William Peoples, PP, Donegal Town (Tawnawilly) is moving to Kilcar to replace Fr Eddie Gallagher who is moving to become Assistant Priest in the Parish of Templecrone with residence in Leitirmacaward.
Fr Niall Coll, PP, Ballintra (Drumholm) is the new Parish Priest in Donegal Town (Tawnawilly) while Fr Adrian Gavigan, CC Leitirmacaward and Doochary is moving to Ballintra (Drumholm) as Parish Priest.
Meanwhile, Fr Jonahtan Flood, Chaplain, St Eunan’s College and CC Glenswilly, has been granted leave of absence for one year.
Fr Liam Boyle is to be the priest in residence Glenswilly, while remaining as Chaplain, Letterkenny Insitute of Technology
