New Campaign Aims to Boost Donegal Businesses and Benefit Consumers

A new initiative has just been launched which sets out to give businesses in Donegal a boost while at the same time offering consumers a convenient and comprehensive way to explore the diverse range of products and services available across the county.

The #BuyDonegal campaign was unveiled on Monday in the Mount Errigal Hotel, Letterkenny. With over 300 businesses participating, there is apparently something for everyone. Whether you’re searching for unique handmade crafts, locally sourced goods, or exceptional services, the campaign provides a centralised hub for discovering and supporting these offerings.

The strategy was officially launched by Cllr Martin Harley, Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council, who said:

“BuyDonegal serves as a platform for businesses to amplify their presence and reach, enabling them to connect with a wider customer base. By participating in this initiative, businesses can leverage the collective strength of the #BuyDonegal Brand, gaining increased visibility and recognition”.

Garry Martin, Director of Economic Development with Donegal County Council, also addressed the audience to highlight the importance of the campaign:

“BuyDonegal promotes the unique offerings and exceptional quality that our region has to offer. From traditional crafts to innovative products and services, Donegal is a treasure trove of talent and creativity. By embracing this campaign, we showcase the rich cultural heritage and vibrant entrepreneurial spirit that defines our community.”
