Jacqui will be joined by a star-studded line-up of musicians to launch her self-composed song If I Had You at the Letterkenny theatre on Thursday, September 15.
Raised in Scotland, but living in Magheraclogher, Gweedore, for many years, Jacqui is the daughter of Rosses natives Dom and Rose Anne Sharkey.
“My family, on both sides, are from Mullaghduff, aside from my maternal grandmother, Madge, who is from Thor. I was raised in Scotland, as my family moved there and lived there for many years, and I like Scotland, but Ireland is my home for sure, and always has been.
“My parents have been back living in Mullaghduff for many years. My mother Rose Anne (nee Gillespie) is a school teacher in Dungloe and my father Dom is a retired contractor.”
A New Dawn isn’t Jacqui’s first outing into the world of recording and live performing, she has been performing around the country since the age of 17.
