In today’s Donegal News, Ciaran O’Donnell talks to Andrew Nesbitt about his success in the Donegal International Rally.
Nesbitt won the event a remarkable six times and in a four-page spread, details the highs and lows of his career.
He recalls his first Donegal success in 1996 and how he had to learn to handle the pressure.
“I remember Austin McHale saying to me on the Saturday night ‘Andrew you have the rally won. Well done.’ And then he comes out the next morning and says ‘I’m going for you’. Talk about psychology, the mind games were very much part of things and I learned to cope with all that.”
