The Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair girls side retained the FAI Schools Senior ‘B’ National Cup on Wednesday afternoon following of a 4-0 win over St Peter’s Community School Passage West.
The Ghaoth Dobhair school got off to a flying start in this showpiece, hitting the front inside three minutes courtesy of a goal from Lily Nic Ruairi.
They went into the interval with this goal advantage before doubling their lead two minutes after the restart as Mary Anne Nic a Bhaird found the back of the net.
In the final third, Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair fired home two more goals as Aoife Nic Aoidh found the net before Lily Nic Ruairi bagged her second of the contest to cap off a fine afternoon and seal the National Cup.
