Mayo 1-18 Donegal 1-16
Donegal produced a decent second half display against Mayo today but a narrow defeat saw them miss out on a place in next week’s Division 1 Final.
Jim McGuinness’s Donegal played reasonably well with the breeze in the first quarter and a two-pointer from Daire Ó Baoill helped them into a 0-6 to 0-2 lead after 17 minutes.
However, they were poor in the second quarter, and Mayo reeled off 1-5 on the trot with Jack Carney notching 1-2.

There was time for more drama as Daire Ó Baoill saw a penalty saved before Hugh McFadden crashed a shot off the crossbar.
