Narrow defeat for Finn Harps as Dundalk hold on

Finn Harps 0 Dundalk 1

Finn Harps were left disappointed at full-time as they couldn’t find an equaliser against the newly relegated Dundalk in Finn Park.

It was a nightmare start for the Harps, as Sean Keogh hit the net via a free kick inside two minutes.

They did threaten with a couple of chances from Dave Cawley, but that goal was all that separated the sides at the break.

Gavin McAteer came on after the restart and had an instant impact, forcing a good save out of Enda Minogue before playing it to Patrick Ferry who had an effort cannon off the crossbar.

Conor Tourish had a header go narrowly wide and also had one cleared off the line in the final ten minutes, while Max Johnston had a great chance in added time saved by Enda Minogue as the Louth men held on.
