Naomh Pádraig started brilliantly and kicked some superb scores to establish a 0-7 to 0-1 lead after twenty minutes.

Tara did pick it up after that with Shay Rafter to the fore, but a Drew McKinney goal helped Muff into a 1-7 to 0-7 lead at the break.

Rafter pointed early in the second half but Caolan McColgan then scored 1-2 and McKinney also notched a second three-pointer.

Ronan Hoy grabbed a fourth goal for Muff, who were able to run their bench in the closing exchanges.

Michael Cunniffe did fist in a late goal for Tara but it was a mere consolation.

Naomh Pádraig will now advance through to the All-Ireland Semi-final and will face Kilmurry (Cork) in Parnell Park next week.
