The Naomh Padraig, Uisce Chaoin club are devastated this evening following the sad passing of Evan Craig.
The late Mr Craig starred for the club at underage level and moved up through the ranks to senior football.
He lined out in the Junior ‘A’ Championship last season before battling illness for many months.
The Naomh Padraig club took to social media to convey their sadness following the death of their popular player.
“We as a club are devastated this evening to hear of the sad passing of our much loved and respected senior player Evan Craig. We are heartbroken for Evan’s parents Joe & Grace, sisters Ciara and Orla, Girlfriend Cloda, brother in law Darragh, Nieces Ellie & Anna and all the family.
“As a mark of respect for Evan, all club activity has been suspended until further notice.”
