NAOMH Muire, Íochtar Na Rosann captain Daniel Devlin celebrated with his teammates the whole way up the road from Cill na Martra in Cork to Annagry on Monday evening after taking the National Junior Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta title.
It was a special day for Danny O’Donnell’s men who took the title for the third time, although it has been 13 years since the last win.
Naomh Muire hosted the Nationals in 2023 but were beaten in the semi-final stage, so had one thing on their mind this time.
At just 25, the captain hasn’t had that sort of experience with his senior side so it was one he won’t forget, and reminisced on watching on as his club won the National in previous years.
