Naomh Muire take National Junior Gaeltacht title

Naomh Muire 3-13 Lios Póil 2-10

Naomh Muire impressed to take the Cómortas Péile na Gaeltachta All-Ireland Junior title with a six point victory over Lios Póil in Cill na Martra, Cork.

The Mullaghderg men were in control at half-time as Eoin Ó Máirtín’s goal just before the break gave them a 1-7 to 0-3 lead.

But Lios Póil hit back quickly with two goals through and Ciaran Ó Cinnéide and Maitiú Seán Ó Grifin to bring the deficit back to the minimum.

However, Jeaic Ó Dónaill hit a second goal for Danny O’Donnell’s side and they were soon six up, before substitute Pádraig Mac Giolla Easbaig fisted in from close range to extend the lead and they would go on to win well.
