Naomh Conaill player hospitalised with serious injuries

Naomh Conaill player Cian Doherty is currently in the Mater Hospital in Dublin after sustaining serious injuries in a road traffic accident on Wednesday.

Doherty is a talented GAA defender who previously represented Donegal at underage level and has been a reliable player for his club in recent seasons.

Naomh Conaill posted their well wishes to Doherty on social media this evening, saying:

“On Wednesday morning our senior player Cian Doherty was involved in a road traffic accident while on his way to work. Cian sustained serious injuries and is currently a patient in the Mater Hospital, Dublin. All Cian’s teammates and everyone at Naomh Conaill wish Cian a full recovery. All our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Cian and we hope to see you back among us as soon as possible. 💙🤍
Mass will be offered by Fr Gerard tomorrow evening (Friday 17th) at 7:30pm for recovery and healing for Cian in St Connell’s Church, Glenties. All are welcome.”
