Naomh Conaill ran out eight-point winners over Killybegs at Pearse Memorial Park on Saturday night to advance to the quarter-finals of the Donegal Senior Football Championhip.

The opening stanza was a finely balanced affair which saw the sides share four majors.

Jack McSharry and Rory Coyler found the back of the net for the Fishermen while Shea Malone bagged himself a brace for the Glenties out.

A run of five consecutive scores from Martin Regan’s side saw them lead the tie at the break.

Pauric Bonner’s outfit tried to rally back but Naomh Conaill kept them at bay and a third goal courtesy of Kevin McGettigan sealed the Glenties men’s passage to the last eight.
