Michael Murphy has been awarded the PwC GAA/GPA Player of the Month award for July.
The Donegal skipper and Cork hurler Patrick Horgan were presented with their gongs in Dublin this afternoon.
Murphy was integral to Donegal’s win over Meath and a was also instrumental in their pulsating draw against Kerry in the Super 8s. However, Mayo got the better of Declan Bonner’s men last weekend in Castlebar to end Donegal’s interest in the Sam Maguire for 2019.
Speaking on behalf of the GPA, Chief Executive Paul Flynn said: “Congratulations to both Michael and Patrick on winning their respective awards. Both players have been exceptional on the pitch over the championship and are deserving winners of the PwC GAA / GPA Player of the Month Awards for July.”
