Michael Murphy heaped praise on the young members of the Donegal squad for the personality they displayed against Mayo in Dr Hyde Park on Sunday.
Donegal won out by 0-19 to 1-15 and ended Mayo’s involvement in the race for the All-Ireland.
Murphy was once again outstanding and showed huge leadership.
However, he was quick to point out the performances of others in the group.
“I thought the character shown by some of our younger lads today was just phenomenal. Caolan McColgan at corner-back, Ciaran Moore in that last play of the game was just inspirational, you get goosebumps when you hear it said and it’s just good to win.”
