THE mum of a young man who went missing in Donegal almost three years ago has urged the person who contacted her with information about a possible sighting of him to report it to gardaí.
Cian Langelaan (27) was last seen on the evening of September 24, 2020. His last known location was Horn Head, Dunfanaghy.
He got a taxi from Letterkenny to Horn Head at around 10.30pm.
A carrier bag with his belongings was found the next day at the place where the taxi had dropped him off.
Cian is described as being approximately 5’8″ with a medium build, sandy hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt and black boots.
His mum, Anthea Langelaan has been relentlessly searching for her only child since his disappearance.
In a post on ‘Find Cian’, Anthea revealed she was contacted by a person with important information on her son. But she urged that the person contact gardaí in Milford as they need to get the information from the person reporting the sighting firsthand.
She wrote: “To the person who contacted me about a possible sighting of Cian in Donegal, please contact Milford Garda Station on (074) 91 53060 or the National Missing Persons Helpline 1800 442 552.
“They need to get the information directly from the person reporting the sighting.”
Anthea added that she remains very thankful that people are keeping Cian in their thoughts.
“Thank you for getting in touch. I am grateful to know that people are still keeping an eye out for my son – it helps keep the hope alive.
“Anyone with information on Cian’s whereabouts are asked to contact Milford Garda Station in Donegal on (074) 9153060, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station,” she said.
