A number of people have been killed in a single vehicle car crash which happened in west Donegal earlier this evening.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Meenacladdy following the incident which is understood to have taken place shortly before 9pm.
It is understood there have been multiple fatalities, however, Gardai are yet to confirm the full extent of the situation.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear, but Garda technical experts are at the scene which has been sealed off for examination.
