THE new owners of a mult-million euro resort in Carrigart are looking forward to developing its full tourism potential.
Cuan na Ri Oceanfront Resort, comprising 27 holiday villas with an oceanfront bar, restaurant and function room situated on approximately 186 acres, has been purchased for €3.25 million by Bartra Capital Property.
Niamh Walsh, Associate Director, Cushman and Wakefield, said the purchase shows significant strength and confidence in the Irish tourism market.
Guiding €2.6million, the resort attracted significant interest with the sales process culminating in a best and final bids round.
“The strong level of interest shows the potential of Donegal and what it has to offer,” Ms Walsh said.
The restaurant, bar and function room has been in operation since the summer of 2015.
A spokesperson for Bartra said they were delighted to have acquired the property.
“It’s a stunning resort in one of the most picturesque, rugged and unspoiled parts of Ireland and are looking forward to developing the full tourism potential of this unique destination,” the statement read.
