Mullan family inquest listed for mention at Coroner’s Court

AN inquest into the deaths of a father and his two children will be mentioned at a sitting of the Coroner’s Court in Letterkenny tomorrow.

John Mullan (49) and his children Tomás (14) and six-year-old Amelia tragically lost their lives when the family’s car skidded into water in August 2020.

The family were returning home to Donegal after a family day out across the border in Derry when the tragedy happened near Quigley’s Point.

The children’s mother and John’s wife, Geraldine, was the sole survivor of the tragedy.

Geraldine, a nurse, has since courageously set up The Mullan Hope Centre in Ballynally, Moville in the wake of the tragedy to remember her beautiful family.

A number of inquests will take place in the Coroner’s Court, Letterkenny Courthouse, tomorrow. The Mullan family inquest is listed as a mention only.
