By Dionne Meehan

Frances, who is originally from Lifford, developed her love for antiques off her mother, Teresa, who started the family business from their front room in 1984.

Later relocating to a store situated on the banks of the River Mourne in Strabane, Frances took over the business from her mother in 1989.

In August 1992 she decided to move to Letterkenny where she had spent time at college and opened a business at 8 Port Road.

In 2014 she was on the move again and took over 38 Upper Main Street before making her final move in 2019 to where she is today.

From modern silver to antique diamonds, Frances is always on the lookout for rare and exquisite treasures.

And when RTÉ asked her to feature on The Today Show’s new antique slot, she couldn’t turn down the offer.

“I thought, let’s do it,” Frances told the Donegal News.

Despite not being able to talk about the items she will be showcasing, she promises viewers will be impressed!

Frances will be appearing on The Today Show on RTÉ One on Wednesday, May 29 at 3.30pm.
