MOTORISTS are being urged to leave extra time for their journey if travelling on the inbound lane of the dual carriageway in Letterkenny this evening as maintenance works continue.
There were long tailbacks on Tuesday evening and yesterday as Donegal County Council carried out essential maintenance works on the N13 Dual Carriageway between the Dry Arch Roundabout and the Manorcunningham Roundabout. The works are due to end today but not until this evening.
A spokesperson for Donegal County Council told the Donegal News: “The works will be ongoing into the evening on Thursday on the inbound lane. Motorists should allow extra time for their journey if they are using the N13 inbound lane on the afternoon evening on that date.
“Donegal County Council will be undertaking essential maintenance works on the N13 Dual Carriageway between the Dry Arch Roundabout and the Manorcunningham Roundabout between September 16 and September 18.”
Donegal County Council have added two extra phases to the Temporary Traffic Management Plan being implemented on the Dual Carriageway.
“The two extra phases will allow the works to be completed in the critical sections first or during non-peak traffic hours.
The extra phases also allow the works to move away from the Dry Arch Roundabout and reduce the impact on peak traffic at this location,” added the spokesperson.
