MOTORISTS in Letterkenny have been warned not to park in disabled parking bays unless authorised to do so.
It comes as a car was detected parked in a disabled bay today in Letterkenny without having a valid disabled parking permit displayed.
If a car is detected parked/stopped in a disabled parking bay and the driver does not hold a valid permit to be there, they will be liable to pay a fixed charge penalty notice of €150.
A spokesperson for Donegal Gardaí said, “We know that it is raining and we understand that everybody wants to park as close as they can to their destination but disabled parking bays are limited in number and it is vitally important that they are only used by people who are authorised to stop or park in them.
