Motorists urged to be mindful during busy school run

GARDAÍ in Donegal are urging motorists to be mindful on the roads during the busy school run.
A Garda spokesperson said, “Please be mindful of this fact when travelling and slow down in the area of bus collection/drop off points and also in the general area of the schools themselves.
“Always expect the unexpected and be prepared to stop suddenly.
“Leave extra time for essential journeys as there will be extra school related traffic on the roads.🚌
“Please do not park in an illegal manner while doing the school run.
“Do not block driveways or park on footpaths as in doing so you may restrict emergency access or force others to venture out onto the road which could be very dangerous.🚶‍♂️👩‍🦼
“Please talk to your children about road safety.”
There are some very helpful resources available at www.rsa.ie to assist with this.
