A MOTORIST had to take evasive action to avoid three youths on quad bikes during treacherous conditions on the roads.
Gardaí are appealing for the assistance of the public in the wake of the incident on the N56 in the area of Ballykeeran, Kilmacrennan on Tuesday, January 6 at 1.55pm.
Gardaí went to the scene and they observed three quad bikes being used on the public road, the N56. Two of the quads had pillion passengers on board. Gardaí signalled for the drivers to stop but they did not and they veered off down a side road.
A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anyone who may have travelled along the N56 in that area between 1.30pm and 2.30pm on that date with a dash-cam, to make the footage available to us. Gardaí in Milford can be contacted on (074) 9153060.”
