THE mother of missing Falcarragh man, Cian Langelaan has re-launched an appeal to mark his 30th birthday.
Cian’s mother, Anthea Langelaan is working with the charity Missing People to re-launch search efforts on his 30th birthday which falls today (December 5).
Cian, aged 27 at the time, was last seen on the evening of Sunday, 27th September 2020. His last known location was Horn Head, Dunfanaghy. He got a taxi from Letterkenny to Horn Head at around 10:30pm. A carrier bag with his belongings was found the next day at the place where the taxi had dropped him off.
Since then, there have been some unconfirmed sightings in Letterkenny after the Horn Head taxi dropped him off.
Cian’s last communication with known contacts was about a week prior to this.
It is believed Cian stayed in Dillon’s Hotel, Letterkenny on 24-25 September, two days before he was last seen.

At the time of his disappearance, Cian was described as white European, 5ft 8in with a medium build, blue-grey eyes, and sandy/auburn hair. Cian was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt, black boots and a green coat.
Since his disappearance, Anthea, has worked tirelessly with local police, Irish media, and the Irish National Missing Persons Helpline to maintain search efforts for Cian, in the hopes that he will be found safe and well.
She created a Facebook page dedicated to finding Cian, where media coverage, any developments in his case, and any other essential information on his disappearance can be located. This can be located here.
Earlier this year, Anthea participated in photographer Stephen Lawson’s ‘Those Left Behind’ exhibition, a photography project that aims to capture the experience of missing by focusing on the families of people who have been missing for a year or longer.
