RTE Radio 1’s The Business programme will broadcast live from Bundoran RNLI Lifeboat Station this Saturday, August 3, from 10am until 11am with a focus on the business of being a seaside resort.
The weekly show, hosted by George Lee, will be packing its deckchairs and buckets & spades and heading west to Bundoran for the weekend to experience this unique destination that has been attracting visitors for more than two centuries. The programme takes a weekly look at the world of business and finance but with their Bundoran visit will also take a look at what makes the town tick business wise.
Speaking ahead of his visit, programme host George Lee said ‘I’m really looking forward to broadcasting from Bundoran particularly on a bank holiday weekend. I’m hoping to experience lots of surfing, slots machines and ice-creams. On the show we’ll be looking back at the hayday of the dancehalls, we’ll be joined by Bundoran regular Ramona Nicholas from Dragon’s Den, we’ll be speaking to two men making money from oil exploration and lots, lots more.’
Bundoran Tourism Officer Shane Smyth expressed his delight with the news of the broadcast: “I’m looking forward to welcoming George Lee and the team from The Business to Bundoran on what looks to be a busy August Bank Holiday weekend.
“George will be talking to a wide range of Bundoran business people as well as a host of national names on the show and is also encouraging listeners to come down and watch the programme being broadcast live on Saturday morning from 10am at the lifeboat station.”
