MONSIGNOR Kevin Gillespie will celebrate the Silver Jubilee of his ordination to the priesthood on July 4 at 7pm in St Eunan’s Cathedral with refreshments afterwards in Loreto Secondary School.
Monsignor Gillespie is Parish Priest of Conwal and Leck and he is Administrator of the Raphoe Diocese since the departure of Bishop Alan McGuckian to the Diocese of Down and Connor.
A native of Gaoth Dobhair, Monsignor Gillespie has said everyone is welcome to the Jubilee Mass but he has requested that no one brings any gifts for the occasion.
Monsignor Gillespie also serves as the Administrator of St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny.
Previously he served as curate in Baile na Finne and at St. Eunan’s Cathedral. He spent nine years working at the Congregation for Clergy in Rome.
During his time at the Vatican, he was a Master of Ceremonies to Pope Benedict and to the current pontiff, Pope Francis.
