Mojo Gogo selected for Indie Week Ireland main stage

DONEGAL band Mojo GoGo have been selected from over 100 bands from all over Ireland to perform at Indie Week Ireland 2014.

The south west band have the additional honour of being one of only six bands selected for the CHOORPY showcase at the festival on Friday, April 25.

Indie Week Ireland 2014 combines a strong line-up of headline acts such as The Hot Sprockets and Leading Armies with 30 unsigned bands who will compete to perform at the Indie Week Ireland finals on the last day of the festival, and ultimately will be battling to win the grand prize of a trip to perform at Indie Week Canada later this year.

CHOORPY, a new Irish music-discovery and social network platform has partnered with Indie Week Ireland 2014 to host the festival’s main stage on Friday, April 25 in Dolan’s Warehouse.

By being selected for the CHOORPY stage Mojo Gogo can expect to benefit from the organisation’s worldwide music partnerships and networks.

Donegal natives Mojo GoGo are known for their energetic, impulsive and joyfully exuberant music. Mojo GoGo are Niki Pollock (guitar/vocals), Jordan Carty (drums), Keelin Gallagher (bass/vocals) and Paul Rodgers (guitar). Mojo GoGo will soon be releasing their EP Streets, Backseats & Envy.

The CHOORPY stage at Indie Week Ireland 2014 takes place in Dolan’s Warehouse on Friday, April 25. The bands playing are Callum Stewart (Northern Ireland), Mojo GoGo (Donegal), Sinead White (Kildare), Sumo Cyco (Canada), Windings (Limerick), The Hot Sprockets (Dublin). Doors open at 7:30pm.
