Peadar Mogan has been crowned the GAA.ie Footballer of the Week following his superb performance in the Ulster final win over Armagh.
The St Naul’s clubman hit two points and was a constant thorn in the Armagh defence.
His second score levelled the game at a crucial time to make it 0-18 apiece in the second half of extra-time, with two further scores from either side seeing the game end in a draw before Donegal prevailed 6-5 on penalties for their 11th Ulster title.
Mogan took the accolade after a vote which saw him come out on top ahead of Dublin’s Brian Fenton and Louth man Conor Grimes for their performances in the Leinster final.
He was just one of seven Donegal men named in the Team of the Week, along with St Eunan’s duo Shaun Patton and Niall O’Donnell, St Michael’s man Michael Langan, Buncrana native Caolan McGonagle, Gaoth Dobhair’s Dáire Ó Baoill and Oisin Gallen of Sean MacCumhaill’s.
