Mixed bag of weather for bank holiday weekend

DONEGAL is set for ‘a mixed bag’ weather-wise this weekend, according to Met Éireann.

Speaking to the Donegal News, Meteorologist Liz Walsh said: “There’s a signal for showers on most of the days with a spell of more persistent rain possible on

Sunday. Current projections show a lot of cloud overall but it will probably brighten up with some sunny spells at times.”

Temperatures look likely to hover around the average for this time of year.

“Temperatures will be a maximum of 14 to 16 degrees on Friday and Saturday. It is looking a bit cooler, currently, on Sunday with highs of only nine to 11 but temperatures will be back up to between 12 to 14 degrees on Monday and Tuesday.

“Winds generally light variable, perhaps light to moderate northeasterly on Sunday, so where sunny spells do occur it’ll feel quite pleasant.”
