A DUNLEWEY family has made an impassioned plea for help in finding their beloved pet dog which went missing two weeks ago.

‘Towser’, a black and white border collie, has been missing from the Gallagher home since Thursday, December 10.

A family member said the dog has been with them since 2006 and was a great help to their daughter to overcome her fear of dogs after being bitten previously.

“On the day she went missing, there was thunder close by and she would always head to her mother’s home next door in McGeady’s pub if we were not home during a thunder storm. As it happened on that day the barman was doing the Santa shopping so we fear she panicked has headed into unknown territory. She may be doing the twelve pubs of Christmas. The children miss her a lot as they have really grown up together.”

The attached photograph was Towser as the playful dog she is.
