Minor manager Barrett hails ‘special’ group of players

Donegal minor manager Luke Barrett was pleased with how his side ‘stuck at it’ and came from behind to defeat Derry to win the Jim McGuigan Cup.

Barrett’s side were four down with ten minutes to go but they got on top at the end of the match.

“It was never going to be easy.

“With the scoring that Derry were doing, we knew it was going to go down to the last ten or fifteen minutes but thankfully we got stuck into it and came out on the right side of it.”
