A CRISIS is looming for potato farmers in Donegal if the torrential rain of recent times continues in the coming weeks.
As the Minister for Food and Horticulture visited the county this week to see the devastation wrought on farms at first-hand, calls have now been made for the Government to offer assistance to those affected.
This week, farmers in Donegal whose crops face devestation received a visit from Minister Shane McEntee.
The Minister was accompanied by Deputy Joe McHugh. They visited farms in Newtowncunningham, Killea and Burt, to see the ill-effects of recent torrential rains.
