Minister to officially open new Jim Lynch Community Building

THE new €1.4m Jim Lynch Community Building at Letterkenny Community Centre is set to be officially opened today (Thursday) by the Minister for Social Protection and Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary.

As well as facilitating public events, meetings and functions,
the new facility incorporates two new state-of-the-art dressing rooms right beside the existing astroturf (4G) playing pitch which has been a huge success since it was completed in 2019.

The building has been named
in memory of the late Jim Lynch, the local councillor who was
a leading figure on the board of directors for many years and who was also a former editor of the centre’s popular annual publication, the Letterkenny Christmas Annual.
