AS the clamour continued unabated across Donegal yesterday (Thursday) following the publication of a long awaited audit into clerical child sexual abuse, 
Children’s Minister Frances Fitzgerald did not rule out a full statutory inquiry.
Minister Fitzgerald said she was still awaiting the findings of nationwide HSE audit but has not ruled out the possibility of an inquiry in the Diocese of Raphoe. The report has had a largely negative response in the diocese with victims claiming that it is a ‘whitewash’ and calling for a full statutory inquiry to uncover the extent and the handling of the abuse in the diocese.
