Milford community invited to help shape the future of local events

MILFORD and District Resource Centre (MDRC) is inviting local residents, businesses, and community groups to play an active role in shaping the town’s event calendar by joining a brand-new Community Events Committee.

The committee’s first meeting will be held at MDRC on Monday, October 13 at 7pm, and anyone interested in supporting or organising community events is encouraged to attend.

The committee will begin its work by planning a festive Christmas event in Milford, creating a joyful celebration for the whole community.

From there, the group will focus on developing a vibrant calendar of events for 2026, including seasonal celebrations, festivals, and family-friendly activities designed to bring the town together.

MDRC will provide full support to the committee, including administrative assistance, financial management, and governance guidance, ensuring volunteers have the resources they need to make each event a success.

The committee is a fantastic opportunity for residents to share ideas, contribute their talents, and help create events that everyone in Milford can enjoy, bringing the community together and adding energy and excitement to town life.

Anyone interested in joining the Community Events Committee or learning more is encouraged to attend the meeting on Monday, 13th October at 7:00 p.m. or contact MDRC directly.
