Milford and St Naul’s set to meet in Under 21 B decider

MILFORD have a good record in the Under 21 ‘B’ Championship, and they are looking to extend that this Saturday when they take on St Naul’s in the 2018 final at 1pm in Ballybofey.

The Moyle View Park outfit have won the competition four times previously, and go into this weekend’s decider in good form.

They have won two Minor ‘B’ titles in the last three years, and players from those two teams make up the bulk of Aodh McCormick’s squad for the clash with the Mountcharles side.

“We’re happy to get through to the final, but you have to be winning it when you get there,” said McCormick, who has Luke Barrett, Cathal McGettigan, and Darran Nash in his management team.

“We won the Minor ‘B’ title three years, and we have lost about five of the starting team from back then for a number of reasons.

“We have only had 17 or 18 players at our games this year, but we should have a panel of 23 there on Saturday.

“This competition has been good to us in the past. We have won it four times in ’96, 2002, 2004, and 2014, and we would like to add another this week.”
