MONDAY will mark the culmination of a 21-year campaign by the Donegal Women’s Domestic Violence Service (DWDVS) to provide purpose -built accommodation in the county for women and children in need of refuge.
The first sod will be turned at the Lismonaghan site to begin the construction of a five unit refuge which will provide the organisation with the capacity it requires to meet demand from Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim and West Cavan.
