Metal bars cut at Letterkenny substation

A  NUMBER of metal bars of the exterior fence of an ESB substation were cut in an incident of criminal damage in Letterkenny.

Gardaí are investigating the incident at the ESB substation at Lurgybrack, which occurred sometime between Monday, July 28 at 3.30pm and 4.15pm the following day.

A number of metal bars of the exterior fence were cut between those times. It is not believed that entry was gained to the yard.

A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anyone who may have witnessed any type of suspicious activity around the sub station (which is located at the top of Lurgybrack) between those dates to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on (074)9167100.”
