Melly named Ulster Schools GAA Player of the Month

St Columba’s Comprehensive, Glenties student Logan Melly has been awarded the Danske Bank Ulster Schools GAA Player of the Month for November.

Melly, who was playing centre-half forward for his school, was nominated for the award as an outstanding athlete, with great fielding and skillset in the Under 16.5 Danske Bank Pat King Cup.

The Glenties school defeated St Patrick’s Dungiven in the last eight of the competition and will now face St Joseph’s Coalisland in the semi-final.

The young forward was also part of the South West Donegal panel this term in the MacRory Cup, coming on as a substitute in their final group outing against St Michael’s Enniskillen.
